Doch das können Sie jetzt nachholen und zwar ganz einfach. Sie schicken eine SMS mit dem Namen des jeweiligen Radios: z.B. 'Radio Vatikan' an die Nummer: 0162-8264348 (normaler SMS-Preis) und 10 Sekunden später erklingt mitten auf dem halleschen Marktplatz die Senderkennung von Radio Vatikan, gespielt vom zweitgrößten Glockenspiel der Welt im Roten Turm. Sie können online mithören: Seit dem 16.10. gibt es einen Audiostream im Internet, über den man den Turm ganztägig hören kann. Nun kann man auch vom Vatikan, aus Grönland oder Russland eine SMS schicken und die Senderkennung kurz später online hören können.

You can do now and it's quite easy. You send an SMS with the name of the radio you would like to listen to: for example ‚Radio Vatikan' to the number 0049-162-8264348 (normal SMS-price) - and ten seconds later the jingle of Radio Vatikan rings out on the Halle market square, performed by the second biggest carillon of the world. You can follow it online: Since October, 16th, there is an audiostream online, which allows to listen to the tower 24 hours a day. Now it's possible to send an SMS also from the Vatikan, from Greenland or Russia and to listen to the radio jingles online.

Außerdem: Mittags um 12 und abends um 18 Uhr erklingt die Komposition »Carill-ON Carill-OFF« von Wolfgang Heisig, eine Auftragskomposition von RadioREVOLTEN für den Roten Turm. Das gut 7 Minuten lange Stück basiert auf der Senderkennung des Radiosenders Halle-Magdeburg aus DDR-Zeiten und reizt die Möglichkeiten des mechanischen Glockenspiels im Roten Turm mit turbulenten Tonkaskaden aus. Zudem werden die vier Töne des Big Ben-Schlages (der sog. Westminster-Chime), die normalerweise die Viertelstunden anschlagen, stündlich anders zusammengesetzt: Jede Stunde hört man eine andere Alternative, eine andere »Permutation« der Melodiefolge des Big Ben.

Furthermore: Every day at noon and at 6 pm the original composition »Carill-ON Carill-OFF« by Wolfgang Heisig can be listened to. This piece of 7 minutes length, a comission of RadioREVOLTEN for the Red Tower in Halle, is based on the signature tune of Radio Halle-Magdeburg from GDR times. Additionally, the four tone-patterns of the Westminster Chime (usually played here at the quarter hours) have be 'repatterned'. Every hour a different set of permutations of the original melodic cycle can be heard.
